Bárbara Martínez is a flamenco artist who has been living and breathing flamenco in New York City for over 20 years. Together with guitarist Albert Alabedra, they are ALBA MUSIK, a reimagining of flamenco that fuses the tradition with pop, jazz, funk, Latin, and world music. ALBA blends music and dance into a living, breathing experience: poetry in Spanish woven into modern soundscapes, that sound old but new, full of emotion and movement. It’s flamenco as you haven’t seen it before — simultaneously global, contemporary, and deeply human.
